Congrats to Cohort 4!

Cohort 4 (Yellow) sat for the Oral Exam at the start of the Division 22 conference in Atlanta this past weekend, and we are excited to say that all five passed!  We are also very excited to say that this means that the 18 Rehab Riff Raff alumni now represent a full 10 percent (18/180) of all board certified individuals in Rehabilitation Psychology.  Nowhere to go but up!

Congrats go out to:

Jennifer Bambara, Ph.D., ABPP

Shinakee Gumber, Ph.D., ABPP

Nancy H. Hsu, Psy.D., ABPP

Carey Pawlowski, Ph.D, ABPP

Philip J. Uy, Ph.D., ABPP

Thank you Angela! (aka Wonder Woman)

After three years of service, Angela M. Kuemmel, Ph.D., ABPP, one of the original co-founders of the Rehab Riff Raff, has transitioned out of her leadership role.  Angela, along with the other Rehab Riff Raff leaders, is very passionate about the development of a "leadership pipeline" so that the students and early career practitioners of today have opportunities to develop the skills and gain experience to become our leaders of tomorrow.  As a result, the Rehab Riff Raff leadership has a "triumvirate" model of Past Chair, Chair, and Incoming Chair, where following every cohort one leader transitions off and a new leader joins up.

This has multiple benefits, including reducing overall workload for our leaders (who generously donate their time) as well as making sure that for every individual currently going through the process, they are able to take advantage of the knowledge and experience of leaders who have all THEMSELVES been through the process in just the last two years, making sure that all knowledge dissemination is current and up-to-date.

Again, thank you so much Angela!  You're amazing.

Congratulations to Cohort 3!

Our third Rehab Riff Raff cohort (also known as Cohort Green) just returned from taking the ABRP Fall Oral Exam in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 17th, 2015.

Not only did they "survive" the process, they thrived, and all four of them can now proudly state that they are (as of 10/17/2015) one of the just 174 individuals in the country who hold specialty board certification in Rehabilitation Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)!

Congratulations go out to:

Kier H. Bison, Ph.D., ABPP

Megan M. Moore, Psy.D., ABPP

Rosanne Pachilakis, Psy.D., ABPP

Martin J. Waalkes, Ph.D., ABPP
